Dairy-Free Milkshakes

I made these refreshing dairy-free milkshakes today. A Mothers Day treat!

 
 

Ingredients

Recipe serves 1


Ingredients for Banana Coffee Milkshake

  • 3/4 cups frozen bananas ( I slice two bananas and place them on a sheet pan in a single layer. Allow them to freeze for a couple of hours and transfer to a resealable bag. Keep them in the freezer and use when needed)

  • 3 dates, pitted and chopped

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder or vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut milk

  • 1/3 cup brewed coffee

  • 3/4 cups coconut ice cream, or any ice cream of your choice (dairy-free, I use Righteous brand)

  • 1 cup ice

  • red maraschino cherries

Ingredients for Banana Strawberry Milkshake

  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup frozen bananas

  • 1/2 cup coconut ice cream, or any ice cream of your choice (dairy-free, I use Righteous brand)

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • 1 1/2 tsp maple syrup

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

 

Preparation


For the coconut, banana, coffee shake - Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 30 seconds. Pour into a glass and serve with maraschino cherries.


For the banana strawberry shake - repeat the same process.
